What we collect
We do not require a personal login or an email address to use our apps. Some games (Farkle 3D, Farkle - Medieval Dice Game) use an automatically created anonymous Firebase identity for online play and cloud save, as described below. We never ask for your real name, your address, or any identity document. The only data that reaches us is the following.
- Crash and stability reports. Several apps use Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes. It automatically sends anonymous diagnostic data: the type of crash, the device model, the operating system version, and an installation identifier that is not linked to your identity. We use it only to fix bugs. Google's handling of this data is governed by Firebase's privacy documentation.
- Feedback you choose to send. Some apps include a "Contact support" form. When you use it, we store the text of your message, the name and version of the app, and the date, on our own servers. Nothing is sent unless you press send. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a feedback message — we have no way of knowing in advance what you will write, and we would rather you did not.
- Farkle 3D private online rooms. When you create or join an online game in Farkle 3D (com.takohi.dice3d), Firebase Authentication creates or restores an anonymous user identifier. A session token is stored on your device so the same identity can be reused. Firebase Realtime Database receives that identifier, your chosen nickname, presence timestamps and game state (dice, scores, turns and actions) to synchronize the private room with the other player. The other participant can see your nickname and game state. No email address or password is requested. Share the room code only with the person you want to invite. These exchanges use HTTPS. Computer games and two-player games on one phone do not use this online service; avatars, colors and local settings stay on your device.
- Online play and cloud save. Some games, such as Farkle - Medieval Dice Game, use the same kind of anonymous Firebase identity for online matches and to save your progress. When you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, that identity is linked to your Google Play Games player account, so your progress follows you to your other devices; we receive a Play Games player identifier, never your email address or password. The cloud save contains game data only: coins, story progress, unlocked items, settings, statistics and your chosen nickname and avatar. During an online match the other player sees your nickname, avatar, dice style and the quick messages you pick from a fixed list (there is no free-text chat). Matches against server-run computer opponents work the same way.
- Anonymous product analytics (PostHog). Some games send anonymous usage events to PostHog Cloud, hosted in the European Union: for example the app was opened, a screen was shown, a game was started or finished and its result, a setting was changed, an item was unlocked. Each event carries the app version, the platform (phone, tablet, TV, watch, PC, web), the language, the version and date of first installation, and a random identifier created by the app. No name, email address, nickname or typed text is sent, no person profile is built, and your IP address is used only to deliver the request and is not stored. We use these statistics only to improve the games.
- Optional push notifications. Some games can notify you about updates, events and gifts. They ask for your permission first, and only after you agree does the app register with Firebase Cloud Messaging and store the resulting notification token next to your anonymous identity. You can turn notifications off at any time in the game settings or in Android's settings; when you refuse or turn them off, the token is no longer used.
- Online leaderboards. Some games post your best scores to an online leaderboard hosted on Google Firebase (Realtime Database). An entry contains the nickname you choose (or one generated for you), your score, and a random identifier created by the app on first launch so that your entries stay together. Some games also record whether you own their Pro upgrade. Leaderboard entries are public: other players can see the nickname and the score. The random identifier is not linked to your name, your Google account or any advertising identifier. Please do not use your real name as a nickname.
- Usage statistics with Firebase Analytics. Some games, such as Tunnel Drift, use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how they are played: screens opened, games started and finished, settings used. Firebase attaches a random app-instance identifier to these events. It does not receive your name, and collection of the advertising identifier is switched off. Google's handling of this data is governed by Firebase's privacy documentation.
- Anonymous usage counters. Some apps record that an event happened — a screen was opened, a game was finished — as a plain count, with no identifier attached. These counters cannot be traced back to a person or a device.
What we do not collect
- We do not request real names, email addresses or phone numbers. Farkle 3D uses the anonymous online identity described above. Please do not put personal information in your nickname.
- No contacts, no photos, no location, no microphone recordings, no camera access.
- No advertising identifiers and no advertising SDKs. No analytics provider other than the Firebase services and PostHog named on this page.
- No tracking cookies, and no profiling or sale of data to anyone. We do not sell or rent data, full stop.
Data stored on your device
Apart from the online data and cloud save described above, what our apps remember stays on your device. Game progress and high scores, your settings and preferences, your purchase status, saved emulator states and the ROM files you provide yourself are stored locally, using Android's own storage or your browser's localStorage for web tools. Uninstalling an app removes all of it.
Purchases
Paid apps and in-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see and never store your payment details, card number, or billing address. What we receive from Google is limited to whether a given purchase is active. Google's own Privacy Policy governs that transaction.
Third-party services
The only third parties that may receive data are those listed above: Google Play services (including Google Play Games for sign-in, achievements and cloud save) and Google Play Billing, Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional notifications, PostHog Cloud EU for anonymous product analytics, Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting, Google Analytics for Firebase for usage statistics in the games that use it, Firebase Realtime Database for online leaderboards and Farkle 3D private rooms, Firebase Authentication for Farkle 3D anonymous identities, and our own feedback endpoint at support.takohi.me. No other SDK, network or analytics provider is integrated into our apps.
Emulators and user-provided content
Our emulator apps play files that you supply yourself. Those files stay on your device: they are never uploaded, scanned, catalogued, or transmitted to us or to anyone else. We do not distribute game content, and we have no access to what you load.
Children's privacy
Our apps are suitable for all ages and are not directed at children under 13 in particular. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. No personal login is requested. Players can choose a nickname for a leaderboard or a private game; Farkle 3D also uses an anonymous technical identity for online synchronization. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a feedback message, contact us and we will delete it.
Keeping and deleting your data
This section applies to every Takohi app and game listed above.
How to request deletion. Write to contact@takohi.me (or use the feedback form inside the app) with the name of the app and the nickname you use in it; for an online room, add the room code and the approximate time of play. We may ask for information needed to locate the right data. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What is deleted. Your online identity data and everything attached to it: cloud save (coins, progress, unlocked items, settings, statistics), online profile (nickname, first and last seen dates, first installed version, notification token), leaderboard entries, online room data, and any feedback message you sent.
Deleting it yourself. Games with a cloud save, such as Farkle - Medieval Dice Game, have a "Reset all data" button in their settings: it erases your progress on the device and in the cloud save. Uninstalling an app removes everything stored on the device but does not by itself erase online data; use the request above for that.
What is kept. Anonymous analytics events (PostHog) and anonymous app statistics are not linked to your identity, so they cannot be retrieved for or attributed to a person; they are kept only for statistics and deleted automatically at the end of our provider's retention period. Crash reports are retained by Firebase for a limited period under Google's own retention rules. Payment records are kept by Google Play, not by us.
Farkle 3D rooms. The game requests deletion of an online room when its host leaves normally. A forced shutdown or lost connection can leave room data on the server until it is removed on request as described above.
